What happens the first time I open Tabify?

Open the disk image and drag Tabify to your Applications folder. On first launch it asks for Accessibility permission, which is what lets it move other apps' windows. Nothing works without it, so this is not optional.

If you want tabs to show a picture of each window rather than the app icon, Tabify will also ask for Screen Recording. Each window is photographed once, as you put it away. Nothing is recorded continuously and no image leaves your Mac.

Can I try Tabify before buying?

Tabify runs unlicensed so you can see whether it suits you. When you buy, paste the key from your email into Settings, then the Licence tab.

How do I update Tabify?

Tabify checks for updates itself and will tell you when one is ready. You can also come back here and download the newest version at any time.
