Tabify How it works Zones Buy Lost licence Download

What's new

Every Tabify release, newest first.

Quick answer

Tabify updates are free and arrive in the app itself. It checks when it starts and once a day after that, shows you what changed, and installs nothing until you say so. Your licence covers the major version you bought and every update within it. You can also download the latest version directly.

Zones grew up. They remember which apps belong to them, they each carry their own settings, and the strip itself got much better at staying out of the way.

Updates

The first public release. Tabify turns any Mac window into a small tab on the edge of your screen, and clicking the tab brings the window straight back to where it was.

How do I update Tabify?

You do not have to do anything. Tabify checks for a new version when it starts and once a day after that, and tells you by putting a dot on its menu bar icon. Open the menu, choose the update, and you will see the notes for that release before anything is installed.

Nothing installs on its own, deliberately. Installing an update restarts Tabify, and restarting puts every parked window back on your screen, which is not something that should happen while you are in the middle of work.

Do updates cost anything?

No. Your licence covers the major version you bought and every update within it, so every point release inside that version costs nothing further. The next major version may be a paid upgrade, and if it is, the version you already paid for keeps working. The details are in the terms.

Where do I get the current version?

The download page always points at the newest release. If you already have Tabify, use the update in its menu instead: it keeps your settings and your macOS permissions, where a fresh download can mean granting Accessibility again.
